Who is Vincent
Vincent A. Sheheen was born
in 1971 in Camden, South Carolina to Fred and Rose Sheheen. He attended Camden
High School and pursued his undergraduate degree at Clemson University from
1989-1993. After finishing college, Vincent enrolled in the University of South
Carolina School of Law from where he received his J.D. in 1996. Vincent served
as a law clerk for U.S. Distinct Court Judge Joseph F. Anderson, Jr. from
1996-98.
Upon completing his clerkship, Vincent returned to Kershaw County where he
currently resides with his wife Amy and their three sons, Austin, Joseph and
Anthony. From 2000 until 2004, Vincent represented District 52 as a member of
the South Carolina House of Representatives. In February, 2004, Vincent was
elected to the S.C. State Senate in a special election where he served out the
term undertaken by the late Senator Don Holland. In November of that same year,
Vincent was re-elected to the senate by the people of District #27.
Vincent currently works as an attorney with Savage, Royall and Sheheen, LLP. He
is a former city prosecutor and a former Adjunct Instructor at the USC School
of Law.
